    [Albion] Goodbye and good riddance

Hard time dropping off last night?

[Albion] Roberto De Zerbi To Leave Albion After Tomorrow's Game

I feel quite sad about this, but I'm not surprised. I hope most fans give him a good send off tomorrow, remembering that he presided over two of the greatest seasons in the club's history. Like it or not, this is the Albion way under Bloom. A coach is not going to get massive stars on big...

    [Albion] Palmer

Good player, who I hope will be employed by Southgate this summer. However, I can only see a more unfortunate looking version of Bez, from Happy Mondays. If he mimes the maracas for a celebration - nice one.

Let you off! Hope your birthday was good; I know the tunes were.

[Music] 10 years of Cover versions that absolutely SPANK the originals .......... over to you

Was listening to KEXP doing a tribute to Steve Albini, and the dj played this: mental. I learned that Albini engineered Fred Schneider’s Just…Fred album - going to give it a listen.

    [Music] Steve Albini RIP

Sorry that I started a thread without adequate background - I was a bit shocked. It all unfolded though, as tends to happen. Posting an Albini produced song that changed music, no exaggeration.

    [TV] TV themes…

Perhaps someone already put this up, but it can’t be omitted. Angela, by smooth jazz legend Bob James. He is still playing concerts in his mid 80s, and has left his mark on hip hop, by being oft-sampled.

    [TV] TV themes…

As a kid I used to be mesmerized by this opening sequence, although I don’t think I ever watched the programme. It was years before I listened to Eno’s Another Green World, and the penny dropped.

    [Football] Worthing fc

Nice that some clubs in Sussex can find the back of the net. Well done Mackerel Men!

[Albion] Deluded Leeds (an EFL club) fans

Yes, it’s a phenomenon that happens against the very best teams: Man City, for example… oh

[Albion] Aussies who could referee better than Jarred Gillett

Yes, they’re a bit Sweaty, but this is an excuse to post the dodgiest song in my all time top 20 (or so). And of course Angus would do better than JG; already in shorts.

    [News] Horse puns

Apparently these nags heard a rumour that they were being shipped up to Newcastle? By the way, a lot of the puns being trotted out here are a bit pony.

[Music] The best songs referencing another, now deceased, musician.

Blimey: we can have a sub-thread of songs titled "You Were Right" that reference dead musicians. This Built To Spill one contains lyrics written by deceased artists such as Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison. There are also quotes from still living performers, including Neil Young (at...
