I worked for a few years in and out of Milan. And most people I worked with had a better grasp of English, and they live in Milan. His language isn't terrible I just think it could be better, he shouldn't need a translator now.
To be fair, by definition you're unlikely to have spent much time talking to Italians with no grasp of English.

People aren’t robots, you don’t just programme English in and expect it to come out perfectly.

Everyone takes different amounts of time to learn languages and you can reach a bit of a plateau where you reach the end of your everyday language that you use and in situations like this, people use more unfamiliar language.

Bmuff are better than us, with the luxury of just weekend fixtures for this season. Last season we were light years ahead of them, next season will resume as a fair PL comparison.
True but I imagine they will be spending bigger and paying higher wages, so not a given. I have been impressed by their manager, annoying for such a tin pot club.

You didn’t take to Italian very well living and working with Italians in Italy for 18 months then?

A mid 40’s person trying to learn a new language, with no previous connection to Germanic languages, he’s done fine.

You can criticise his professional ability, but this scratching around to find more armchair sticks to beat him with, is getting silly.

Nope just commenting on you wishing you spoke Italian as well as he speaks English. It was directed at you not him. I am assuming you have never lived in Italy!

If I find out he is using spaghetti with his bolognese then I'm switching to De Zerbi Out.
