Depending on how the rest of the season goes, not necessarily results but performances, I would not be shocked if the decision is taken out of his hands. Really hope we have an invigorating and uplifting end to the season and this can be sorted to both parties satisfaction.

FWIW I think both RDZ and the team will get great backing and support tomorrow, unless it goes badly wrong again, then it could get messy and a bit toxic by the end.
Sadly, even at times when we have been on form, games against Villa usually don't go our way at all..... I think this ' rest of the season' you refer to may need to start after Sunday.

Good news.
He introduced a brand of football that everyone loved.
With the right players it will happen again.
Agree, however regardless of tactics / style you play, when players lose form and confidence, it’s difficult to turnaround. West Ham have hardly had any injuries this season, play a low block counter and yet have suffered a similar dip post Europe.

You can’t take the best players out of our team and expect the same results, you just can’t.

Hopefully the group pretty much stays together, the kids will have another year under their belt, a few additions and kick on in 24/25.

"I would like to stay at Brighton...."

...however there doubtless is a whacking great BUT coming along after that line.

"But first I need to know the clubs ambition"
"But first I need to speak to Tony about the plans for next season"
"But first I need to see how I feel when I wake up in the morning"
But first I need to have been overlooked for all the big jobs I thought I was going to get.

For about two months now Roberto's been saying 'I have to talk with Tony '.....so, has he lost his number? or not sure what to say? or is he waiting for Tony to call him with a huge plea to stay and a blank cheque 🤔. I don't get it.

I'd like him to stay, but don't tell everyone you need to discuss with Tony and then not get on with it.

Needs to be more worried about being sacked I think. Deluded clown.

All this positivity on the thread about him staying and the first paragraph of the athletic article is ...

'Yes, we spoke for not a long time, 20 minutes, but we spoke, one week ago. I have nothing against Tony. I am used to saying the truth and the truth is difficult to accept.'

Hmmmmm !!!

It does seem a bit strange that bloom never seems to have long conversations with him. Or that's what RDZ has been saying for weeks anyway....maybe it's Bloom who's having serious doubts now, plenty of other good managers out there that aren't loose cannons.
I'm guessing that Tony replied (or thought)..."I'm not changing our business model for you, Roberto".

Agree with all of this.
Ultimately the quality of football under RDZ (for a time) was so good, it’s worth trying to rediscover.
If it doesn’t work out and that golden period turns out to have been a moment in time, it will still have been worth trying for.

Really? So you’ve been listening in at various clubs’ board meetings to know this. The word you should have used instead of basically is allegedly.
As per the article posted on here from The Telegraph.
Sorry, forgot I need an A level in English to participate on this forum.
It is best nobody reads any transfer news in the papers this summer, as commenting on it will get you a response as above.

Perhaps I’m the only one here not at all bothered by his next contract, after all they’re there to be broken.

Last summer the general consensus here, I think, was that we’d be lucky to keep RDZ as far as summer 2025. I feel that still. Anything longer a bonus.

Perhaps first he needs to see what TB has planned for the summer transfer window?
It would seem strange to build a team influenced by any manager that doesn’t want to commit, so that’s Catch 22. Existing and incoming players would surely like to know who they’re likely to be working for too. Ordinarily, a manager still having a couple of years to run wouldn’t be much of an issue but RDZ himself brought all of this uncertainty into the public domain.

An excellent manager on the field. The off-field stuff is… unusual.
