Correct IMO....Then RDZ is making a mistake by his frequent pronouncements about needing to talk with Tony. He really needs PB onside.
I agree totally. There is a structure in place and Barber is the CEO and delegated to act on behalf of Bloom.

Imagine working for Virgin, and rather than deal with your contract and overall company direction from HR or line managers, you insist you must speak first directly to Sir Richard Branson before deciding whether to stay?

It’s a bit different and we don’t know if PB has to get approval for signings or sales from TB.

Barber is the CEO. Bloom isn't going to override him.

RDZ must know this so I'd be surprised if he thinks he being fobbed off and feels he is having to discuss everything with the 'organ grinder's monkey'.

Barber is CEO and deputy chair and is paid big money to take all the key decisions. In order to get the club where Bloom wants it to be. You don't buy a pedigree dog and bark.

I think people are reading far too much into RDZ's comments.

As usual.

Barber is CEO and Deputy Chairman. RDZ should know that when he’s talking to PBOBE he is talking to the owners.

Agree.

I have no problem with Adam being here. He’s a leader when on the pitch and I’d imagine will be a valuable coaching asset.
You have no problem with Lallana being one of our highest paid players?

Certainly seemed to get the tactics spot on today. Pedro and Buonanotte man-marking the central midfielders when out of possession worked a treat, with Welbeck joining in when FB had to get across to Digne. Then, once Villa were getting edgy, Enciso’s arrival put a bit more emphasis on attack. Top stuff.

Very unusually, think he went straight down the tunnel at the end, guaranteed to provoke more questions, but pleased to see the players looking a bit more like their old (and young) selves.

Performance did the talking today.

The way we played today makes me think he told the players he's staying.
Nah. I read on here that he told the players ages ago he was off. Hence all the defeats.

No, because it's not my problem! It's not me that has to decide to pay him that much - and it's not my money either! If the people that run the club think what he brings to the club is worth the money the club pays him, I'm easy.
FWIW, I think PL wages are ridiculously and obscenely high, but that's a different issue than picking out one player's wages in relation to his team-mates.

After just hearing RDZ’s interview on talk sport I’m not so sure.
He just sounded so down beat to me.
May be I’m just hearing things.

Yes, but Lallana struggles to move these days so, unless a ball is passed straight at him, he can't adjust to bring it under control or, more usually, to even touch it.
I've got no problems with him staying another season, but would restrict his usage to the last 10 or 15 minutes to see a game out or try to unlock a defence (as he did brilliantly against Marseille at home).
I think he’s worse when he comes on.

Wolves away him and Dahoud played a lovely ten minute cameo, but since then when he’s come on, he’s been really poor. (Burnley away most recently).

I take your point re mobility, but if he isn’t warm or up to match pace, he struggles, so has to start (if he does play).
