Very pleased for them thinking they were English owned but no see they are yet another club owned by Americans. At this rate wont be long before they have majority needed to vote through what they want.

This is indeed another worrying aspect were it not for the fact that Burnley are likely to fall keeping the net Yankness of the Prem in its current status quo.

I suspect also pretty soon the debt laden Private Equity wonderkid model will fade away when they realise that whilst there is indeed gold in them thar hills it has to be maintained or grown through talent and application rather than just showing up as it is in US sports.

Trying to get a 11x multiple ROI for flipping Burnley or Ipswich to the next buyer isn't quite as easy as they all assumed.

Potentially a real issue. Majority US ownership will see them voting in favour of PL games being played in the US. Which would be a steaming heap of crap.

Looking forward to going away to the Tractor Boys. Portman Road is a ground I’ve not been to so hopefully that will be rectified next season. I’ve even done a ‘dry run’ on train travel. From Liverpool Street Greater Anglia trains take an hour to get to Ipswich and you can get a return fare with a rail card for £25. Knowing my luck the fixture will now be a midweek evening game or on a bloody strike day.

Can still remember my one and only attempt to visit Portman Road back in the 1980's, the train, packed to the rafters with Albion fans, broke down in the middle of nowhere, by the time we limped into Manningtree station long after the match had started, the bar had been drunk dry and much of the train wrecked. The police were waiting for us.

I supposed the Glazers have rinsed United for all they were worth with a debt leverage model.

Jurys out on FSG getting their money back and the two old theatre guys from the muppet show that owned Liverpool before that nearly went bust.

The villa guy and the Sunderland guy both pumped tons of money in before crashing and burning.

The Beta Gamma Phi preppies trying to buy Everton appear to be imploding.

I'm not sure where all these people are seeing the undervalue from? Arsenal guy has done 'ok' I suppose but no certainty it will work out long term.

It seems that it's really murderous regimes and money launderers that get the most out of the whole gig. Which of course, is a real boon for the beautiful game.

I was on that train, and yes we drank the bar dry.
A lot of us got off at Colchester on the way back.

I wouldn't have thought so, people spend money on their Amex cards, and kids wear Nike absolutely everywhere.
