Regardless of how we or Tony feel, Potter feels agreived at our treatment of him. You could see it on his face at the Chelsea game when we flattened him. He was surprised at the reception. He won't want to come back and personally, I don't want him either.
Not sure that comes into his thinking. The Japanese are a stoic lot and as a result, Mitoma seems like a pretty dispassionate mercenary when compared to many others. This is not a critiscism of him mind, just an observation.
I could see Kaoru leaving when it suits him, but he will most...
He'll get my applause tomorrow, especially for last season and the beginning of the current. Its petered out pretty badly since, yes. But I don't think that erases the good work and times enjoyed before.
It certainly makes the summer more interesting when there's a manager hunt going on...
While Ipswich have looked pretty impressive, lets not forget McKenna has very little experience. It would be a massive risk for him and for us if we were to take a punt (and him accept). I would welcome him of course, but I just don't think he would come right now. After promotion just seems...
Its gash and they need to f**k it off. They won't though. There's a whole host of problems with and surrounding VAR and honestly I lack the will to go through them all.
Thought Webby in particular had a great game especially after Dunk came off, took charge at the back. Barco was great too. JP, Ensico and Buonanotte combined well today as well with a couple of very nice moves, shame about our reluctance to shoot. Adingra by contrast shot a lot and was a bit...
I heard on (I think) Ben Foster's podcast that the pitch at St.James is on a slope, so one end of the pitch is higher than the other and it is very noticable when you're playing. May have featured in the decision making.
Edit: worth mentioning that I obviously have no first hand...
