Good information - but it isn’t far off backing up my claim. They cost a total of around £25m - a million more than the reported ‘with add ons’ fee Palace paid for Wharton. You can’t possibly include the sell-on payments in the comparison.

It is a silly scenario, because if we hadn't sold ANY of those players, then we couldn't have afforded to buy Pedro (or Buonanotte, or Estupinan, or Igor, or Baleba, or Barco, or Verbruggen, etc) But - if we'd kept 'only' Mac Allister and Caicedo, AND signed Joao Pedro, we'd be top 6 certainly.
